This lovely piece seems to have a sort of honey glow to it. The main elements are real amber, finished of with yellow jasper, Czech crystal beads and Czech glass beads.
This mossy green pendant has been based around the vintage element at the centre. I liked its delicacy and wanted to compliment it in my work. The green and orange stones are coloured mother of pearl and the little red bead is real coral. The rest is a mixture of Czech beads and the dark green ones are dyed sandalwood.
This striking green and gold jasper set makes for a bright yet refined addition to your collection. The colour is unusual; these stones are more often a deep red. I used Czech Pega soutache cords and Czech beads to complete this piece.
Can’t wait to see the first blossoms appearing. For now, I will have to make do with this little blue hairpin I made. The icy charm of winter hangs round the silvery blue petals as these early blossoms bloom to add a touch of warmth to the cold winter ahead. Hope you like it!
Happy New Year everyone! To celebrate, I have made this lovely orange bracelet. I love how it turned out with the swirling browns and golds-it reminds me of tigers with their brilliant orange fur and piercing eyes. Wishing you all a great start to the year!
Spring is here! To celebrate I have decided to make these golden and white blossoms. They represent the ever stronger rays of sun that pierce through the clouds more and more every day! Real blue bells will soon be carpeting entire forest floors like magical purple seas. Hope you like my broach! I am also entering a few more bits of jewelry to the Preciosa contest this month. www.preciosa-ornela.com www.facebook.com/PreciosaOrnela
This is my black and white owl pendant. As the nights are getting shorter, keep your eyes peeled for any of these birds still out in the early daylight hours, trying to make the most of the hunt. You may see them skimming the long golden grass of a field, or swooping among branches in parks or forests. As always, I hope you like it.
Carnival balls may are over, but the sparkles are still here… This is my entry to the Balls and Masks competition organised by Preciosa, makers of traditional Czech beads. Imagine my joy when I discovered that my piece had won first place! The prize was 1kg of their splendid beads. I loved making this set, and now I’m off to make some more! www.preciosa-ornela.com www.facebook.com/PreciosaOrnela
Fuchsia and green stay with me for longer. I embroidered two more pairs of earrings. Check my shop if you are interested.
All my life I was taught that fuchsia and green simply don’t get along at all. I believed this until I saw these oval black glass beads with fuchsia and green stripes. I present to you my new fuchsia & green soutache earrings! They are a burst of colour like pink flowers on a lush green meadow in the spring time.
